Achieving a great overdriven guitar tone is a timeless pursuit for guitarists. While working on how to create a truly exceptional drive sound, we focused on delivering distortion that preserves proper dynamics, feels massive, and responds exactly as expected to the player’s articulation.

The result is a pedal combining several key elements: SUSTAINER, COMPRESSOR and DISTORTION. This is how the SERVO‑DRIVE was born.

 

A Fusion of SERVO and DRIVE

SERVO‑DRIVE is essentially a combination of two of our effects — SERVO and DRIVE — merged into one unit. The pedal offers an exceptionally wide tonal range.

You can achieve a very subtle OVERDRIVE with gentle compression and a pleasant sustain. In this setting, the SERVO section adds saturation and sustain, while the OVERDRIVE provides a mild breakup. The guitar tone remains natural and musical, without excessive distortion.

You can also dial in a highly saturated drive tone, from classic DRIVE all the way to HIGH‑GAIN territory. We made sure the “grain” of the distortion is massive yet articulate, preserving the character of your instrument. In this case, SERVO adds thickness and weight, while DRIVE delivers the desired saturation.

 

Tone Shaping — CHARACTER Control

Tone shaping in SERVO‑DRIVE is handled by a single CHARACTER control. It allows you to selectively adjust the tonal profile — from smooth and dark, through nasal and bright midrange, all the way to a clear, slightly contoured top end.

SERVO‑DRIVE also features a BOOST mode, activated via footswitch.

The BOOST adds extra bite and aggression to your guitar tone and increases the instrument’s output level. The amount of boost is adjustable with a dedicated control.

 

Versatile by Design

By combining SERVO and DRIVE into one pedal, our goal was to create an effect suitable for a wide variety of musical styles.

Of course, you can experiment by pairing our SERVO with any DRIVE/OVERDRIVE pedal, but SERVO‑DRIVE has been optimally configured as a single unit to deliver the best possible overdriven guitar tone across a very broad range.

You can also use SERVO‑DRIVE as a powerful booster for tube amplifiers.

  • Automatic polarity detection — allows the use of power supplies with either polarity on the output (center‑positive or center‑negative).

  • DC ASSISTANT: protects the pedal from signal loss. If the power supply is disconnected or the voltage drops below 6V, the pedal automatically switches to bypass mode.

  • TRUE‑BYPASS: when the pedal is OFF, the instrument signal is passed passively without any electronic circuitry — a clean, direct cable connection.
