MID-BOOST Construction.

MID‑BOOST is a selective analog BOOST designed to enhance the guitar’s midrange frequencies at 800 Hz or 1.6 kHz. The frequency band is chosen with the RANGE switch. Both filters are voiced specifically for guitar tone and spaced one octave apart.

Additionally, MID‑BOOST includes a built‑in low‑cut filter that removes frequencies below 100 Hz.

MID-BOOST Concept.
MID‑BOOST is designed to boost a narrow band of midrange frequencies to achieve a distinct guitar tone. Its purpose is to bring the guitar forward in the band mix during solos or lead riffs without overpowering other instruments.

In many situations, simply increasing the guitar’s volume causes it to mask other elements of the mix. A selective midrange boost keeps the guitar properly positioned while still making it stand out.

The 100 Hz high‑pass filter eliminates the lowest frequencies, which often introduce muddiness and overlap with bass or kick drum. When MID‑BOOST is engaged, the high‑pass filter remains active at all times.

The LEVEL control sets the amount of boost applied to the frequency band selected with the RANGE switch.

CUSTOM VERSION

A CUSTOM version is also available on request, equipped with two footswitches. In this configuration, the RANGE switch is foot‑switchable, allowing quick changes between 800 Hz and 1.6 kHz mid‑boost ranges during performance.
