SH‑10eX is an extended version of the SH10, designed specifically for guitarists who play loud rehearsals and high‑volume live shows, where the amplifier must maintain full dynamics even at very high SPL levels on stage.
Both versions — SH10 and SH10eX — are identical in tone and construction.
The only difference is the power stage performance.

90 W RMS of usable power
200 W Power Stage Efficiency — a large headroom reserve that protects the power stage from unwanted clipping at extreme volume levels
Full dynamic response of the tube driver stage, even under heavy attack coming from the preamp
Greater stability in demanding stage conditions, where drum and monitor volume can push an amplifier beyond its comfortable operating range
Ideal for modern stages, clubs, rehearsal rooms, and most live applications. Today’s sound reinforcement standards mean that around 50 W with tube-driven dynamics is more than sufficient.
For bands playing loud rehearsals, rock/metal, and old‑school stage setups, where the guitar must be clearly heard directly from the amp — not only through the PA. It provides greater power reserve and stability at extreme volume levels.
In practice, the SH10 performs excellently in most modern environments. However, some musicians still play very loud, just like in the past when the stage itself was the main source of sound. For them, the SH10eX was developed to maintain full dynamics with a substantial power reserve.
